In many supermarkets in Tokyo, Italian ingredients, such as pasta, sauces, olive oil, coffee, ham, and cheese, are available.

However, sometimes the best quality is hidden in small selected shops where owners make a personal selection of particular brands of ingredients and wine.

Here’s a list of selected stores where to find Italian ingredients in Tokyo:

Note: Please always check the shop’s opening hours or special closing days on its official channels before going.

  1. Enoteca Alice – Nerima

What you can find: One part of the shop is dedicated to wine where a room welcomes a careful selection of wine and other alcoholic beverages from all Italian regions. Another part of the shop is filled with packed ingredients and cheese and ham are sliced on the spot, exactly like in Italy

What you can find: Once in a while, indulge in this ham and cheese paradise. Originally an Italian company (Ca Form), the Japanese branch expanded in Tokyo in prime locations like Azabudai Hills and Yokohama. The first shop was the iconic Azabu Juban store (closed in March 2024). Its basement recalled mountain houses from the Veneto and Friuli-Venezia Giulia regions, from which the milk they used came.
