Why a flower?
“The idea – says Luigi Lardini – dates back to 2004, when we needed a sign that distinguished our clothes from others, a distinctive sign. I was inspired by the way I wore a jacket when I was a boy, in the mid-70s, when you wore everything on the left lap, including all kinds of pins. My romantic nature then led me to choose a small flower, which could then be given by a man to his woman “.
Moreover, in the Italian language the expression ”fiore all`occhiello” literally refers to the “flower in the buttonhole” but is used to mean something that is source of proud, a flagship, an highlight.
As in the phrase “this jacket is the flagship of the collection“ (questa giacca è il fiore all`occhiello della collezione)

Lardini products are available in Japan from 2017 in several cornerstores like Strasburgo or Beams and branded shops. One of our favourite is the store in Marunouchi. On weekends the streets are close to the traffic and walking near the cheerful and elegant Tokyo station district you can enjoy some shopping or relax on the seats in the open terraces.
In particular this spring collection is about oriental art and its tranquiliy.
“The feeling of peace, strength and intensity of a bamboo forest through which the sun barely filters, the purity of the water features, the lightness and intensity of the colors of the flowers and birds depicted in oriental art. natural colors such as green, brown and cream, pastel shades, are enhanced by color accents such as pink, red and orange.”
